The average New York City kid has a busy, busy schedule. Between homework, after-school clubs, practice, rehearsals, hobbies, jobs and more, they hardly have time to stop and think - let alone locate a suitable way to help the less fortunate. What they need is someone to help. Or at the very least a website that does just that. |

Even your average NYC kid is extremely busy. So we needed to develop a site that was as helpful as it was simple. After developing Children for Children's initial, informational website, we developed Kids for Community, an easy-to-use search engine for volunteer opportunities. We created everything from scratch -all the visual elements (including the logo), the powerful database, and the administrator interface. Now it's simple for non-profit groups to create profiles and submit volunteer listings, and just as easy for children and their families to search the opportunity listings by age, location, and area of interest. With a process that narrows things down in mere seconds - as opposed to having to track down resources over a long period of time - it's easier than ever for NYC kids to make a difference. |
